As we continue in the End ME / CFS Project goals, more individuals and groups are seeing the hope this unique research strategy offers. One is a family who have a loved one afflicted with ME / CFS.
The new $224,000 donation is going to give us a good start in raising funds to do Phase II, which is to follow the fully funded and expanded OMF ME / CFS Severely Ill-BIG DATA Study. To meet the End ME / CFS Project goals, we need to raise $5 million a year.
One of the key features that made this family decide to support our research strategy is collaboration. We’ve seen so much being done independently that our ME / CFS Scientific Advisory Board and our foundation board saw a collaborated approach will bring advances quicker.
Of course, we really appreciate this anonymous family’s donation, but we are even more encouraged by their pledge to make additional donations in 2016. Momentum is growing at OMF. Sign up for our newsletter so you can stay informed with the progress.
