OMF’s Linda Tannenbaum is “Partnering for Faster Cures” in San Francisco

Today Linda is meeting at the Partnering for Cures conference in San Francisco with leaders and decision-makers from across diseases who are motivated by the same mission – to transform the medical research system and reduce time and cost of getting new therapies from discovery to patients: “I’m attending Partnering for Cures to make connections, to listen to others and identify new networking opportunities to accelerate our work. Collaboration to fast-track a cure for ME / CFS and Fibromyalgia is at the core of OMF.”

Since 2009 Partnering for Cures has been the go-to-meeting for thousands of leaders to accelerate patient-centered solutions and to create meaningful collaborations. The event is produced by the Milken Institute’s FasterCures, an action tank that works to speed and improve the medical research system by connecting decision-makers from across diseases who are motivated by the same mission. The day will be kicked off with breakfast roundtable discussions with peers across disciplines who share OMF’s goals and interests. Among the many topics that will be discussed during the day are new models of philanthropy introduced by a new generation of entrepreneurs who are pledging significant portions of their time and money to solve humankind’s most pressing health challenges, and the new opportunities the development of the internet and big data tools – like used in OMF’s End MECFS Project – are providing to accelerate progress and collaboration.
