Ron Davis Updates on the Metabolic Trap!

Ron Davis Updates on the Metabolic Trap!

From the Desk of Ronald W. Davis, PhD:

I’m pleased to be doing this series of interviews posted on OMF’s website and social media. This new video update about the Metabolic Trap Hypothesis is especially exciting because we’ve made significant progress lately that I’ve been looking forward to reporting to the community. This work was initiated by Robert Phair with funding from OMF. I’m so grateful to the OMF for the funding that made this project possible. More recently, Vinod Khosla has been funding this work, for which we are also very grateful. OMF’s collaboration and funding over the years has made much of the work in our lab possible.

I know that they will be continuing their fundraising and will continue to fund our work as well as the work of the other Collaborative Research Centers. This is so vital, as there has never been adequate funding for ME/CFS, and this much progress could never have been made without OMF’s incredible work. We are so grateful for all the donations from our community that has made this work possible. I look forward to our continued collaboration.

Building the OMF Collaborative Research Network

In 2014, Ron Davis and OMF’s Founder & CEO Linda Tannenbaum came together to build a scientific team of leading experts dedicated to solving ME/CFS and related multi-system chronic complex diseases (msCCD). Since then, Ron has continued his urgent research while sharing his ideas, findings, and passion with OMF’s Collaborative Research Network.

At our OMF supported Centers, the researchers are eager to work together across multiple continents and disciplines and openly collaborate to find the solutions that will return millions to the healthy lives they deserve.

Most importantly, we would like to thank all those affected by ME/CFS, including patients, caregivers, and advocates, for participating in research projects and supporting our efforts.

We could not do this without you! We have now funded over 40 projects, including, of course, Ron Davis’s research, for 10 years. We are excited to share these research updates from Ron and the Collaborative Research Center Directors released last month.
