The Harmony St. Ceacillia orchestra performed on 18th of November, 2018 in a benefit concert for OMF following a screening of the award-winning documentary, Unrest. The program, organized by Rene Robert, was held at the community centre, Dorpshuis De Stek in Grootebroek, Netherlands.
Robert has a very deep, personal connection to ME / CFS. He shared the following, “I promised my niece “Denise de Hoop” on her deathbed that I will continue her battle to get recognition for ME / CFS. Her words were printed with big letters in the Noord Hollands newspaper on the day she died. “I didn’t have to die”.
He continued, “Let’s all make sure this will never happen again. Spread the word, inform everyone because Enough is Enough. WE WANT TO LIVE NOT JUST EXIST.”
Robert is using the film Unrest to educate and raise awareness. He added the concert to make this a very special event.
